Jordan began as a volunteer at Reno Public Radio when he moved to the area in May 2009 and became a weekend host in 2010. He began as a Musical Theater student on scholarship in a small college in Wyoming until he was asked to preside over the new student radio station. Jordan hosted the station's first morning show and brought the local signal to life until it was a well-organized and popular entertainment outlet. Shortly thereafter, he transitioned away from theater to his new stage, radio. He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with an emphasis in Electronic Media from Utah State University, where he worked as an intern and fell in love with Utah Public Radio.
Jordan is currently working full-time in sales, biding his time until the day he can return to Journalism and a Masters Degree. Jordan is a Junior Olympic Bronze Medalist in shooting. He loves to travel and looks forward to spending his summers in Alaska camping, rafting and enjoying the midnight sun again. In the meantime, Reno's desert sun is keeping him warm, busy, and full of opportunity to serve his community through KUNR and other meaningful outlets.
