KUNR 88.7 FM is an outreach service of the University of Nevada, Reno and is licensed to the Board of Regents.
The station's Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a volunteer organization which provides leadership, feedback and support to the station and its staff.
Community Advisory Board members act as representatives of KUNR for the purposes of fundraising and are expected to use their spheres of influence to attract and build support for the station. They are expected to volunteer during semi-annual on-air membership campaigns and to help with the recruitment of volunteers, business supporters and other funding sources. Members with specific areas of expertise, such as law or business, may also informally advise station management on related issues.
Members of the Community Advisory Board are expected to serve on one or more committees, which will meet in addition to the monthly Community Advisory Board meetings.
Candidates for the Community Advisory Board should be members in good standing of KUNR.
