With Nevada's economy struggling the last few years, it's often easy to forget there's one part of the state that's thriving. Elko and the surrounding areas of Northeastern Nevada have seen a boom in mining that's created what some are calling an "opportunity gap" - there's not enough things like retail, or housing to meet the needs of the area.
Also, we'll prepare you to watch the planet Venus' rare transit across the sun on June 5.
