Historic buildings at UNR spark debate between Nevada seismologists and preservationists

Lincoln and Manzanita Halls are "poor performers" when it comes to earthquake safety. University officials and seismologists are scrambling to find a solution to this problem. But, as Reno Public Radio's Esther Ciammachilli reports, the two buildings are a big part of Nevada's history and preservationists are concerned about the future of these buildings.

UPDATE: University of Nevada, Reno President Marc Johnson announced today (Thursday, June 19, 2014), that Lincoln and Manzaninta Halls will be preserved. To read his statment, click here.
