Interview: The future of drones in NV

Nevada is one of six states to potentially host test sites for drones.

The Governor's Office and state education officials are trying to bring greater public awareness to drones and the potential for the industry to grow in Nevada. The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension recently held a statewide workshop on the subject.

Right now, Nevada, like many states across the country, is waiting to hear if it will be one of the six states designated by the federal government to host drone test sites for commercial and research purposes. 

Mark Walker, who is dean of the Cooperative Extension, discusses how the technology may impact the state and the University of Nevada.
