Governor Brian Sandoval criticized Democrats for quickly passing through a public schools budget that adds back more than $700 million.
K-12 funding is contained in AB 568, which is being considered by the Governor now.
"The Governor will not comment until we’ve had a chance to review this legislation in full,” said Sandoval's advisor Dale Erquiaga in a written statement.
Sandoval has vetoed bills on the grounds that they create budget gaps already.
The bill was passed through the legislature in a hurry Tuesday.
“We believe the legislative budget process should be open and transparent, yet [Tuesday’s] action is contrary to those goals," said Erquiaga.
Democrats quickly fired back in an email to reporters, trumpeting the lengthy list of hearings held so far on K-12 funding.
