Orvis School of Nursing adds adult acute gerontology care NP track

Beyond the Headliness' 4-18-2014 Health Watch segment features news that the Masters of Science in Nursing program at the University of Nevada, Reno's Orvis School of Nursing is adding a nurse practitioner track focusing on adult gerontology acute care. Richelle O’Driscoll from the University of Nevada School of Medicine visits with Dr. Stephanie DeBoor, associate director for the graduate program at the Orvis School of Nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Currently the MSN or Master in Science in Nursing program has three specializations that a student can pursue: the nurse educator, family nurse practitioner, and clinical nurse leader. The Orvis School of Nursing recently added a new specialization or track, the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner that will begin in Fall of 2014.
