Republican congressional candidate Sharron Angle is interviewed by a local TV crew at her press conference Monday.

Republican Sharron Angle is the only candidate who's announced a run for the seat in congress currently held by Dean Heller.

Already, Angle is ramping up her campaign efforts. She held a press conference in Reno Monday to take questions about her run.

When she ran against Harry Reid for US Senate, Angle was criticized for avoiding the media. At this conference she patiently answered every question thrown her way.

Speaking to our Brandon Rittiman, Angle conceded she's got some work to do to in the wake of her loss in last year's high-profile Senate race.

Angle: "It was a hotly contested race. There were injuries that need to be healed and I think we're going to really take the time to work on that healing process."

On the flip side of that coin, Angle says she now has name recognition working in her favor. And she correctly points out that she can get the media's attention.

While Angle lost her last race statewide, she says she beat Reid by almost 20-thousand votes in Congressional District 2.

However, the legislature will be redrawing the boundaries of that district this session.
