On January 9 the Wolf Pack will line up against Boston College at AT&T Park, the baseball stadium home to the San Francisco Giants.

It means Wolf Pack fans can make a four hour drive to see the game in person.

But Nevada Coach Chris Ault says it'll do more than that.

Ault: "Being the only game that day before the national championship game, the exposure will be just indelible for our football team."

Not just for the team, but for the University and the Reno area at large. That's because tourists from the Bay Area are the bread and butter around here.

That may be why a lot of people lobbied officials with the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on Nevada's behalf, including governor-elect Brian Sandoval and Reno Mayor Bob Cashell.

As for the football, Nevada finished with a much better record than Boston but both teams are hot right now.

Boston College comes into the bowl with a five-game winning streak. Nevada won its last six.

Wolf Pack Quarterback Colin Kaepernick says his team has something to prove.

Kaepernick: "And we wanna show everybody that we can beat a BCS conference team and we wanna put the naysayers where we think they ought to be."
