Voter turnout in Nevada's primary election was the worst in some 20 years.

Voter turnout in Nevada's primary election was the worst in some 20 years, coming in at just under 20 percent. The atmosphere at many Washoe County polling places reflected the low turnout on Election Day. KUNR's Michael Hagerty gauges the scene at several polling places.

At about 6 p.m. Don Kennedy, poll manager at the Washoe Senior Center, estimated his polling place had seen about 160 voters in an 11-hour span. That's about 4 percent of the roughly 3,800 registered voters for that precinct.

But Kennedy says it's nothing unexpected.
