As if the jazz club had just started playing, the mood is mellow but not without surprises from host Jim Wilke and Jazz After Hours. A wide variety of both new and well-established contemporary jazz artists drop in for a chat, and the music ranges from latest releases to jazz classics. Jim Wilke always brings in the latest in jazz news, tour events, and even local jazz clubs around the nation worth checking out.

Jim's easy-going presentation has won the praise of jazz stars Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Brown, Max Roach, Joe Henderson, Milt Jackson, Joshua Redman, Billy Taylor, Maria Schneider and many others who have been guests on Jazz After Hours. Jim Wilke is a veteran broadcaster of over 50 years whose radio programs have been aired nationally since 1983. Wilke is in demand as a jazz historian, having taught at Bellevue Community College and the Cornish College of the Arts for over 25 years, and his program is heard internationally in Europe and Japan.

Jazz After Hours is produced Public Radio International.  For more information, visit http://www.jazzafterhours.org.
