Following Through.

Air Date: 05/01/12 When things go awry, as they inevitably do, most parents struggle to do what they said they would do.  Parents are good at setting limits and making decisions, it is in the follow through that Parents sometimes fall short.  It isn't about whether or not they actually mow the lawn or not, it's about what they're learning from discipline. Children learn trust, safety, and an understanding that the world has rules from parental discipline.  Not only that, studies show children have greater self-esteem from keeping agreements.  This week, Cheryl suggests how to follow through on Parenting.  Parenting with Cheryl Erwine airs every Tuesday morning on 88.7 FM, KUNR, and can be reached at 775-331-6723 or cheryl.erwine@sbcglobal.net.
