Air Date: 07/24/12 This week's edition of Parenting is a little bit different. You won't hear the usual suggestions on how to teach your children. This week's commentary is asking for information to help out a young man named Ramsey. Ramsey is a young man that was featured in detail in the Reno Gazette Journal who has no diagnosis yet. His condition is complicated, but in essence his muscles, including his heart and lungs are not developing and functioning properly. Some muscles though are strong, and since he can't walk they put a strain on his bones. Swallowing and coughing is a challenge, so choking is a constant danger. His parents have seen over 75 doctors. No one has seen a case like Ramsey before, and no one has been able to offer a diagnosis or an accurate picture of his future health. Ramsey's parents are asking that if you know of anyone who has experienced something like this, heard of a doctor who may have experience in a similarly unusual case, or have heard of a friend of a friend in the rumor mill that may have a small possibility of leading to answer to contact them. You can learn more about Ramsey Farley at newsreview.com/reno or search him on Facebook. And you can email them at firstname.lastname@example.org. Parenting with Cheryl Erwine airs every Tuesday morning on 88.7 FM, KUNR, and can be reached at 775-331-6723 or email@example.com.
