Air Date: 10/30/12 Often, young people will shrink from the prospect of a genuine face to face conversation. Research shows young people are suffering from a decline in social skills due to the ease of texting. According to the Pew Research Center, about 80 % of 18-25 year-olds in this country see getting rich as the most important life goal of this generation. Apparently, children have learned this from their elders. Parents play an integral role in their children's materialism. They spend 500 percent more on the newest generation than they did on last generation. Nothing is wrong with material success, but there is no correlation between wealth and happiness.
