Anyone over 50 is concerned about how the brain changes when they grow older. By understanding how the brain develops over time we can better understand how to take care of the brain and keep the onset of dementia at bay. About 25 percent that have some dementia don't show symptoms. You acquire more cognitive reserve by continuing to stretch your brain through continually solving complex problems. Each time your brain has to stretch to find new knowledge it will help keep your brain in good condition. Puzzles aren't enough because your brain has already learned the function of solution.
