Snow falls near the UNR campus on Tuesday morning.

TUES 10/23, 9:50AM: I-80 has reopened in both directions, but officials warn there could be ice on the roads in the valleys this afternoon due to plummeting temperatures. If you commuted this morning in a 2WD vehicle and you must drive it home, troopers say the safest way to get home is to take side streets, but they do caution smaller roads tend to get less attention from snow removal crews.
