Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson stopped in Reno earlier this week to continue his call for major changes to the country's tax code and a more prominent American role in world affairs.
The retired pediatric neurosurgeon touched on several policy topics during a speech at the University of Nevada, Reno.
His ideas include a six-month corporate tax holiday, decreasing the government's say in federal money given to states and creating a "flat tax" based on the biblical concept of tithing.
Carson outlined several of his proposals to a crowd gathered outside the Joe Crowley Student union.
