NOTE: This material is for a mature audience. Voices in the Life includes real-life monologues about prostitution, past and present, in Nevada. The show is a production of the Nevada Shakespeare Company and is premiering Friday and showing again on Saturday at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno for Artown. KUNR's Michelle Bliss spoke to Maggy Anthony, a local writer for the play, and Janie McCormick, a main subject of the play who visited the studio from Minnesota. Janie was a prostitute for thirteen years in the 1950s and '60s on the Las Vegas strip. Along with their involvement with the production, both women will be signing copies of their books at Sundance Books in Reno on Saturday.
