Wolf Pack (Finally) Nabs Another Bowl Win

nevadawolfpack.com

The Nevada Wolf Pack secured its fifth bowl game win Tuesday night with a 28-23 victory over Colorado State. The inaugural Arizona Bowl at Arizona Stadium was a nail-biter until the very end with Nevada trailing by one point, 23-22, with less than four minutes left on the clock.

Highlights from the game include a 77-yard sprint to the end zone by Sophomore James Butler and a 96-yard kickoff return made by Junior Elijah Mitchell, who caught the ball on the four yard-line before scoring a touchdown. Mitchell’s play was actually the team’s first kickoff return for a touchdown in almost twenty years.

The Wolf Pack had not won a bowl game since the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl back in 2010 and Tuesday’s victory means that the Pack is closing its season with a 7-6 overall record.
