Reno Sculpture Festival This Weekend

UNR's Spring Dance Concert kicks off tomorrow through Sunday at the Redfield Proscenium Theatre at UNR.  Danna O'Connor chats with Rosie Trump, Assistant Professor of Dance at UNR and Andrea Miller, founder and Choreographer of the Gallim Dance Company.

In his documentary Alive Inside, which won the audience award at Sundance last year, Filmmaker Michael Rossato-Bennett captures the joy that music brings to people with dementia. Reno Public Radio’s Michelle Bliss spoke to him. He’ll be in Reno Tuesday for a special screening.

Tuesday's special screening of Alive Inside has SOLD OUT.

Filmmaker Michael Rossato-Bennett will be at the event for a panel talk, along with other experts on dementia and care giving.

As the year draws to a close and we reflect on the significant moments of 2014, one that stands out is Eric Rasmussen’s voyage from Reno to a library in France where he identified one of Shakespeare’s original folios last month.

Now, 233 of the 800 first folios have been found, and since no manuscripts by Shakespeare survive, these rare texts have helped preserve many of his plays.
