That’s the reality for one Reno resident, whose business opened just as the coronavirus began spreading across the country. This entrepreneur is trying to make the best of bad times, with the help of some unexpected business partners.

There is a new coworking space in the Biggest Little City. Our contributor Brook Bentley of the Northern Nevada Business Weekly has the story.

It's called Fusion at Midtown and it joins several other coworking spaces in Reno such as the Reno Collective, the Innevation Center and more.

Coworking spaces are growing in popularity and can also serve as platforms to network and collaborate with other entrepreneurs.

Nowhere in Reno is this effect more apparent than in Midtown, where some small business owners are facing tough choices. Reno Public Radio's Julia Ritchey brings us one shopkeeper's story.

Reno's housing market has steadily regained its health, making it a sellers’ market. This is putting strain on the city’s dwindling supply of rental homes. In our ongoing series Squeezed Out, reporter Julia Ritchey explores what’s happening in Midtown, Reno’s trendiest neighborhood.

Margie Hicks has lived in her two-bedroom, one-bath rental house on Caliente Street in Midtown for about six years.

She says back then, it wasn't hard to find a place to rent.
