Raul Midon Accents Style on 'State of Mind'

Singer, composer and guitarist Raul Midon straddles many genres -- and creates some new ones -- on his latest album, State of Mind. Through it all, he injects a rousing optimism into the grooves of his music.

Midon, who was born in New Mexico, brings elements of old soul, jazz and Latin music to his songs. Those influences also show in his choice of collaborators: Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz and Latin jazz flutist Dave Valentin all appear on State of Mind .
