The Federal Aviation Administration released its new regulations for drones this month, much to the excitement of Nevada companies. The new regulations open up air space for drones and lift onerous requirements around who can fly the unmanned aircraft.

In addition to making it easier for drone manufacturers to get their products to market, the regulations could be a boon for the environment, according to the nonprofit Environmental Defense Fund. This is the second year since farmers began using drones to conduct what's called "precision agriculture" with drones and it's already helping to save water and reduce pesticide and fertilizer use.
