Early Voting Numbers For Washoe County

Early voting wrapped up last Friday in Washoe County. About 25,000 people voted during the two-week period ahead of tomorrow's primary election for state and local races.

That's about a 10 percent increase in the number of people who early voted in 2014, though the overall participation rate among active registered voters remained virtually the same.

The highest early voting day was, as expected, the last day, with 3,600 people showing up. Republicans also had a slightly higher turnout than Democrats.

Washoe County is prepared for all 78 polling locations to open tomorrow. For those who did not already cast a ballot, registered residents will have from 7 a.m. till 7 p.m. to vote.
