There's excitement in the air on campus as spring graduation nears. The quad on is roped off so the grass can be ready to host the ceremonies. And students are focused and busy as the Spring 2015 Commencement Exercises are fast approaching, May 15-16.

In the spirit of graduation, University of Nevada, Reno President Marc Johnson invited two of the graduates to the KUNR studios for an interview on Beyond the Headlines.

Ruchi Gakhar is already an accomplished researcher who received her bachelors and masters degrees in India and will receive her Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Nevada.

Jake Pereira has served as the ASUN student body president and will receive his bachelors in business administration, focusing on economics. (Air date: 5-1-15).

Interacting with students is the "joy of my day," says University of Nevada, Reno President Marc Johnson. He visited in the KUNR studios with spring 2015 grads Rushi Gakhar and Jake Pereira for Beyond the Headlines.
