With the Silver State selected as one of just six U.S. drone-testing sites—and the only site chosen as an entire state and not just a single location—the university is a catalyst and collaborator for developing drones and other advanced autonomous systems.

NAASIC, the Nevada Advanced Autonomous Systems Innovation Center, is located in downtown Reno at the Nevada Innevation Center. NAASIC is the university's robotics and intelligent systems collaboration with industry, helping bring more companies to Nevada and to work with them to research and develop new innovative systems with scientists and engineers at the University.
