This spring, a team of architecture professors and students partnered with the Nature Conservancy to build a tiny public park covering the area of a single parking space in downtown Las Vegas. The structure is called a parklet and it’s a place where urban and natural worlds collide.
Ken McCown helped lead that effort and was just in Reno to talk about the project for an Artown lecture at the Nevada Museum of Art. He spoke to Reno Public Radio’s Michelle Bliss for our ongoing Artown series. They were joined as well by Colin Robertson, the curator of education, for the Nevada Museum of Art.
