The Nevada Builders Alliance or NBA is set to become the first trade association in the state to offer its members a health plan. KUNR contributor Kaleb Roedel of the Northern Nevada Business View has the details.

The Nevada Builder's Alliance has more than 800 members across Clark, Carson and Washoe counties who may now qualify for the medical plan as early as November.

The move follows an executive order from President Trump to expand affordable health coverage to small businesses.

Nevada-based Prominence Health Plan will partner with the association, which will allow small business members to receive coverage as if they were a large employer.

According to the NBA, members could potentially see savings of 15% to 25% in comparison to other health plans.

The association will offer four HMO plans and one PPO plan for medical coverage. In addition, participants will also have access to dental and vision.
