Reno, NV. Brüka Theatre invites you to The Moors - A Deliciously Dark Comedy About Love, Desperation, and Visibility on the English moors. The Moors is the story of two sisters, both desperately unhappy, who live with a maid and their family dog in an isolated family home in the desolate wilderness. When a governess is summoned to their secluded mansion teeming with secrets, she (and we) find that nothing is as it seems. The Moors is a new take on Gothic romance, where the rules of both the genre and the world defy tradition and expectation. The Moors premiered at Yale Repertory Theatre in February 2016. A year later, the play received its New York premiere with The Playwrights Realm and now opens Brüka’s 30th season.
The Moors plays for 15 total performances October 7 - October 29, 2022. October 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 19 (Pay What You Can Night) 20, 21, 22, 26 (Artist Night), 27, 28, 29 at 7:30 PM with two Sunday Matinees on October 16 & 23* at 2 PM.
