Reno, NV. Brüka Theatre invites you into the home of a lonely Irish spinster who yearns for a relationship but must cope with the manipulative mother who lives with her. Premiered in 1996 by the Druid Theatre Company in Galway, Ireland, this first play by Martin McDonagh went on to London where it was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award as Best Play, and then to Broadway where it won four Tony Awards. McDonagh’s most recent film, The Banshees Of Inisherin was recently nominated for an Oscar and a variety of other awards.
ADVISORY: The Beauty Queen Of Leenane is suitable for adults and older teenage audiences only. Sexual and disturbing violent situations.

The Beauty Queen Of LEENANE is the fifth show in Brüka Theatre’s 30th season. The show plays for 15 total performances

The shows run weekly. Evening shows begin at 7:30 pm. The Sunday matinee on May 14 is followed by a talkback with the company and audience. The doors open a half an hour before curtain time.
SHOW TIMES: All Brüka mainstage evening shows begin at 7:30 PM. Matinees begin at 2:00 PM. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain time. RUNNING TIME: The Beauty Queen Of Leenane runs approximately 2 hours with one intermission.

PRICES: General admission: $28. Admission for Students/Seniors/Military: $24. All tickets are $30 at the door. Additional Ticket fees will be incurred on all online and phone ticket transactions.

REQUIREMENTS DUE TO COVID - 19: Brüka Theatre will no longer require patrons to show proof of vaccination. PARKING: Court Street parking lot across from The Pioneer Theater. FREE after 5:00 PM weekdays and NO CHARGE on weekends. We validate 5 hour parking at the Parking Gallery on First and Sierra Street.Fee is $1 for the first 5 hours and $3 for every additional hour.
