9 am Sunday:

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District tweeted a little before 9 am Sunday saying that all evacuations related to the Long Valley Fire have been lifted. The blaze was 50% contained at that time and mapped at 2,438 acres. Officials added that fire crews will mop up the site Sunday and air support is flying in Sunday morning.

8:45 pm Saturday:

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is reporting a 1,500 acre fire burning along U.S. 395 near Rancho Haven in Red Rock north of Reno.

As of 8:45 pm Saturday, evacuations have been underway in the Rancho Haven area -- that includes Rodeo Drive, Saddle Lane, Appaloosa Circle, Shetland Circle and Arabian Way. Officials have given no timeline as to when they expect those evacuation orders to be lifted. TMFPD officials say the Long Valley Fire has destroyed one home and several outbuildings. Another 50 to 75 homes have been impacted by the fire.

In addition, the evacuation center that was set up at Cold Springs Middle School has been closed. The Northern Nevada Red Cross says anyone affected by the Long Valley Fire should contact the Red Cross national dispatch at 855-891-7325.

As of 8:45 pm Saturday, the fire was zero percent contained with 35 engine crews on the scene along with additional hand crews. Multiple air resources were battling the blaze earlier in the afternoon, but were grounded by darkness Saturday evening.

North Red Rock Road is closed between from U.S. 395 to Frontier Road. Officials say the closure could be in place until midnight.
