Zion National Park's role in making parks more inclusive

In the time of Jim Crow, Black travelers weren’t able to travel safely to certain places across the country. A guide called the Green Book listed locations where Black visitors would be welcome, with few options in the West. But that changed in the late 1950s, when it added the lodge at Zion National Park.
