Sagebrush to Sandstone: Spring Haiku Workshop with John Arsenault

Join Nevada Humanities and local poet and educator John Arsenault on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm for a Sagebrush to Sandstone workshop celebrating the art and beauty of haiku in the spring time. This workshop will take place indoors at the Huffaker Historic Schoolhouse at Bartley Ranch Park in Reno, and include a brief outdoor walk. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about a brief history of haiku and draft and practice their own haiku inspired by nature.

This workshop is open to participants of all ages and skill levels. Pencil and paper will be provided.

Space for this event is limited and registration in advance is required.
