SambaDá, A Carnival Celebration | Live on the RPM Stage

SambaDá, A Carnival Celebration | Live on the RPM Stage

Get ready to be swept away by the infectious rhythms of SambaDá, the sensational Brazilian band taking the stage at RPM! Led by Brazilian natives Papiba Godinho and Dandha da Hora, SambaDá infuses their profound knowledge and deep respect for Afro-Brazilian song and dance into their captivating performances.

With their unique blend of samba, reggae, and funk, SambaDá creates a musical experience that transcends borders and unites the Americas. Drawing inspiration from percussion-based styles of South and Central America, the band effortlessly infuses it with the familiar beats of funk and reggae, beloved by North American crowds.

For over a decade, SambaDá has been seamlessly blending contemporary sounds with the rich roots of Brazilian culture. Papiba, a master of Capoeira, a martial art form created by Brazilian slaves, brings his mesmerizing acrobatic movements and infectious energy to the stage. Dandha, born into the Afro-Brazilian traditions of Salvador, Bahia, and the renowned Carnival Group Ile Aiye, has been dancing since the age of 6. Ile Aiye, a symbol of civil rights in Brazil, has been a trailblazer for equality and justice, making history as the first Afro-Brazilian BLOCO to perform in Brazil's iconic Carnival celebrations. Together, SambaDá combines their diverse backgrounds, styles, and generations, creating a magical synergy that is palpable both to the band and their audience. With each performance, they ignite pure joy and leave their fans yearning for more.

Don't miss this extraordinary opportunity to experience the electrifying rhythms and soulful melodies of SambaDá. Let their music transport you to the vibrant streets of Brazil and immerse yourself in a celebration of culture, dance, and pure musical bliss. Join us at Faye's for a night of unforgettable entertainment!
