Shorts HD and Magnolia Pictures present the Oscar-Nominated Short Films, opening on Jan. 30th. With all three categories offered – Animated, Live Action and Documentary – this is your annual chance to predict the winners (and have the edge in your Oscar pool)! A perennial hit with audiences around the country and the world, don’t miss this year’s selection of shorts. The Academy Awards take place Sunday, February 9th.

The event will be held at the Joe Crowley Student Union Theatre on the Campus of the University of Nevada, Reno.
Parking Information:
During our weekend performances, you are free to park in either parking garage on the University campus. For the Thursday evening performance, please park on the top floor of the Whalen Garage.
This will be a full night of over three-and-a-half hours of movie enjoyment, made possible by KUNR and the Joe Crowley Student Union Theatre.
Seating is limited and advance purchase is highly recommended.
The Joe Crowley Student Union is at the heart of the University of Nevada, Reno community. Aspiring to be the living room of the University, visitors are free to relax near one of the building's five fireplaces or attend some of the many lectures, student discussions or other events happening daily. Visitors can also grab a meal at the 15th St. Food Court, purchase Nevada gear at Nevada Wolf Shop (the official bookstore), or renew their vehicle registration at the DMV kiosk. The Joe Crowley Student Union houses a 220-seat theater, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, a cozy Great Room and numerous other indoor and outdoor performance spaces. The University and Reno community can also take advantage of multiple meeting spaces in the building.
The Joe Crowley Student Union is an environmentally sustainable building with many ‘green' aspects. The facility is designed to maximize daylight usage, use recycled materials, and minimize energy and water usage.
