Families face human growth hormone shortage

Drug shortages have made antibiotics, ADHD medicines and some diabetes drugs used for weight loss hard to get. For families whose children need human growth hormones, one shortage feels endless.

NPR’s pharmaceuticals correspondent Sydney Lupkin reports on the shortage of a drug called Norditropin.
