PROJECT VESTO Project Vesto is a new competition where one new Nevada start-up business will get $100,000 to launch and set up operations here in the Silver State. We hear from Daniel Herr, Program Manager with NIREC - the Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization. ALMOST SOMEWHERE In 1993, Lake Tahoe writer Suzanne Roberts - just out of college - decided to spend 28 days hiking California's 211-mile John Muir Trail, from Mount Whitney to Yosemite, with two friends. The story of her journey - and how it changed her life - is told in her new book, Almost Somewhere: Twenty-Eight Days on the John Muir Trail, which recently won the National Outdoor Book Award. Suzanne teaches English at Lake Tahoe Community College and creative writing at Sierra Nevada College.
