2023 Wild and Scenic Film Festival
2023 Wild and Scenic Film Festival
Wild & Scenic Film Festival inspires environmental activism and a love for nature–through film. Hosted by local environmental non-profit, Friends of Black Rock-High Rock, join us for a program packed full of thought-provoking, funny, entertaining, and informative films centered around the environment, wildlife, and the enduring human spirit.
Enjoy films, food truck, beverages, raffle and silent auction items in one of Reno's most beautiful indoor venues, The Virgil.
More than a film festival, Wild and Scenic is a great place to meet diverse, yet like-minded people. Folks who attend WSFF tend to be outdoor-oriented and care about the environment, sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, and public lands. All of which have never been more relevant, nor more important. So purchase your ticket today, as space is limited!
Event will begin at 5:00pm with a casual meet, greet, and eat, with a raffle to follow (food truck available at 4:30). At 6 o'clock, we'll gather for a brief welcome and introduction, and at 6:30, the first of our film selections will commence! At 7:30 we'll break for intermission (and some more food and drinks) and begin again at 8:00, with films wrapping up around 9pm.
All proceeds from this event will help support The Black Rock Desert-High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area through Friends of Black Rock-High Rock's stewardship, education, and outdoor recreational programs.
