Join the Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus for an exciting performance of song as we present "Brother Sun, Sister Moon." Our spring concert explores the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, centering on Amy Beach's choral-orchestral masterpiece "Canticle of the Sun." In addition to this mesmerizing work, each of the pieces performed by the Chorus has been composed by talented and inspiring women - Joan Szymko, Susan LaBarr, Barbara Baker, Karen Marrolli, and more! We are thrilled to be joined by the Truckee Youth Chorus as well as the Diablo Valley College Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Owen Lee. "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" features programming with touching lyrics, thoughtful text-settings, lush melodies, and evocative harmonies celebrating the profound connection between nature and the human spirit.
