Howard Bennett is a well-known and well-respected organist, who first became fascinated with the pipe organ in the historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Virginia City, where he grew up. Retiring after serving 30 years in the Douglas County School District as a teacher and administrator, Howard has become the expert in maintaining 8 historic instruments scattered across northern Nevada. Howard will perform favorite Handel and Bach pieces and transcriptions, including Handel's Largo, demonstrating the glory of Trinity's Casavant Organ, installed 25 years ago. This year, Trinity is celebrating the anniversary of this remarkable instrument. Pipes on the River is free and open to the public. Please come and enjoy this concert.
