Longtime KUNR host Bob Carroll passed away on June 6, 2022. The Music of America with Bob Carroll was on the air at KUNR for over 20 years and featured the music of big bands, blues, ballads and Broadway.

After 19 years on commercial radio, the Risky Biscuit Hayseed Hoot joined the KUNR program lineup in May 2010. The show is a mix of fun and insurgent Americana: country, folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriter, twang, spoken word, humor, young old-timers, and more. Dondo invites you to join him on the front porch of your radio every Saturday from 6-8 p.m.

AJ began with KUNR in November 2010. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting in December of 2007 and a Masters of Business Administration in 2016, both from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Cindy joined KUNR in April 2014 as the station’s Administrative Assistant. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in history and has lived and worked in the Reno/Sparks area most of her life.

Linton Weeks joined NPR in the summer of 2008, as its national correspondent for Digital News. He immediately hit the campaign trail, covering the Democratic and Republican National Conventions; fact-checking the debates; and exploring the candidates, the issues and the electorate.

Frank James joined NPR News in April 2009 to launch the blog, "The Two-Way," with co-blogger Mark Memmott.

Wayne Yoshioka is an award-winning journalist who has worked in television, print and radio in Hawaiʻi. He also has been on both sides of politics as a state departmental appointee and political/government reporter. He covered Hurricane Iwa (1982) as a TV reporter; was the State Department of Defense/Civil Defense spokesperson for Hurricane Iniki (1992); and, commanded a public affairs detachment in Afghanistan (2006). He has a master's degree in Communication from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and is a decorated combat veteran (Legion of Merit, Bronze Star and 22 other commendation/service medals). He resides in Honolulu.
