Mary Sojourner Comes to Sundance Books and Music

Author and NPR Commentator Mary Sojourner will be at Sundance Books this Thursday and Friday, October 16th and 17th.   She is reading from her new novel "29" at 6:30 on Thursday. On Friday at 6:00pm, she is the featured guest for Nevada Humanities October Salon.  Events are free.  Sundance is at 121 California Avenue.  Details at www.sundancebookstore.com.

"29" is a desert tale of wildness and community.  Nell Walker loses everything and finds herself on a bus bound for Twentynine Palms, California where she learns to heal both herself and her newly beloved home.  Danna O'Connor chats with Mary Sojourner about the novel, her love of the desert and the power of writing to help us heal.
