KUNR helps sponsor financial planning workshops

KUNR is helping sponsor the Family Financial and Estate Planning Series, Sept. 16 - October 28. There's still time to join in and sign up for the remaining workshops. The series of free workshops are presented twice a year by the Community Foundation of Western Nevada and KNPB Channel 5 public television, as they have been for the past four years. 

Community Foundation president and CEO Chris Askin discussed the workshop series with David Stipech on Beyond the Headlines (broadcast 9-19-14). KUNR is helping sponsor this fall's series.

Estate Series
 
The Fall 2014 Family Financial and Estate Planning Series Workshops will be held at two locations and times. Tuesdays, September 16 to October 28 10:30 am  - Noon –  Sierra View Library 4002 S. Virginia St. Reno 3:00 to 4:30 pm – Washoe County Senior Center, Multi-purpose room 1155 E. 9th Street, Reno
 

Financial and estate decisions require knowledge in many areas; accounting, finance, legal, insurance, taxes, investments and charitable planning. Experts will help you navigate the areas of advanced health care directives; charitable income & tax planning; being a trustee and executor; and more. The workshops take place over seven consecutive weeks. Classes are offered to you as a public service. No charity will solicit you for a donation. No financial or insurance products will be sold. Your name will not be given to the speakers. All speakers are volunteers and recognized local experts in their field.
