UNSOM Health Watch: Breast Tissue Density

Anne McMillin

How do you know if you have dense breast tissue? Why is breast tissue density important? This week, family physician Dr. Daniel Spogen talks with us about the link between dense breast tissue and developing breast cancer.

Spogen shares information on how breast tissue density is determined and the importance of screenings. He's the chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Leading the discussion is Richelle O'Driscoll, Director of Public Affairs at the School of Medicine and Division of Health Sciences.
