International Company Opens $22.5 Million Plant In Fernley

Deceuninck North America

A large manufacturing plant for windows and doors has opened in Fernley. Our contributor Brook Bentley of the Northern Nevada Business Weekly has the details.

Deceuninck North America, or DNA, has just celebrated its grand opening of the $22.5 million plant that's 150,000 square feet. The company makes vinyl and fiberglass door and windows and this is its first facility in the West. 35 employees are working there now and the building is designed to expand operations later on.

Deceuninck began in Belgium in 1937 and expanded to the US twenty years ago, opening its North American headquarters in Ohio.

DNC has enjoyed double-digit growth the past three years, which prompted this expansion.

The company also considered a potential site in Salt Lake City, but ultimately chose Fernley because of local government incentives, rail access, and other logistical factors making it easier to reach customers in California, Oregon and Washington.
