Tahoe Philharmonic (lovers of harmony) Orchestra and Chorus kicks off Maestro James Rawie’s 20th Annual WinterFest with the Go 4 Brrroque concert series, January 4 - 12, 2025.

The program opens with Vivaldi’s playful Concerto in C for two Flutes, performed by Lisa Norton and Elizabeth Neudeck, and his masterful Concerto in G minor RV 531 for 2 Cellos, performed by Nick Haines and Lou Groffman.

Guest violinist and concertmaster Kevin Matheson joins for J.S. Bach’s Violin Concerto in E major and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #4, BWV 1049.

Soprano Anne Davidson performs arias from Bach’s Mass in B minor. George Philippe Teleman’s Concerto for Recorder and Transverse Flute and Strings will be performed by John Cardoza and Lisa Norton.

The concert concludes with Bach’s Aria from Cantata 180: Lebens Sonne, Licht der Sinnen, (Sun of All Life, Light of All the Senses).

The concert series is dedicated to the memory of Mark Lord, principal trumpet player 2007-2014.
