Lace up your running shoes (or tighten your kilt!) and join us on Saturday, April 11th, at the Historic Virginia City for a spirited walk/run Kilted 5K. Celebrate tradition and fitness as you race through this unique course, honoring Scottish heritage and community spirit. Every participant receives a complimentary drink ticket to toast your achievement at the Firehouse Saloon. Don your kilt, bring your friends, and get ready for a memorable day of fun, fitness, and celebration! All ages are welcome. Join us after the Fun Run at 2pm for a special Nevada Tartan Day Whisky Tatsing hosted by the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans, $25 sepratley or $45 with 5K registration. The proceeds will benefit the Great Basin Highland Games, a non-profit organization that Celebrates ancestral tradition. of highland athletics. These unique events bring a taste of Scottish heritage to the Truckee Meadows area, featuring competitions like Stone Throw, Hammer Throw, Weight for Distance, Weight Over Bar, Sheaf Toss, and Caber Toss.
