Sharing Happy Tails
Sharing Happy Tails
Nothing feels better than a story with a happy ending, and that’s what Shakespeare Animal Fund will be sharing on May 9 from 1-3 at Reno Public Market. Proud of all the animals they’ve helped this past year, there will be stories and photos to make everyone feel good. And, the lively music of Liam & Kasey, plus give-aways, raffle baskets and even celebratory glasses for sale. Plan on coming out for the free fun and see why this amazing non-profit continues to impact the community in Northern Nevada.
For 22 years, this local non-profit—whose only goal is to help pay emergency veterinary bills when pet owners have suffering or dying pets and no funds for care—has been serving the community, stepping in when owners needed emergency veterinary help. Drop by and hear some of the wonderful stories of animals helped, and pick up a “Save My Pet” free fire sticker and free magnet.
Come say hello to board members, hear more about what they do, how you can help or get involved, and learn more about this fascinating 501 (c)(3) and how it all started. One city dog, Shakespeare, came from Harlem in New York City, and became the world to his owner. When he died and she moved to Reno, she founded the organization to honor his memory and help local animals, and their people.
