CIS of Western Nevada will host its inaugural Power Within Breakfast & Awards Ceremony, presented by the NV Energy Foundation, celebrating local students who have demonstrated resilience, perseverance and personal growth by tapping into their “power within.”
The event will honor outstanding CIS students and recognize community partners who support student success across Washoe County. A highlight of the morning will feature three CIS students showcased in a video series produced by the R&R Partners Foundation, who will take the stage to accept awards and share their stories.

Benefiting Youth Sports Programs Across Northern Nevada
The Nevada Kids Foundation invites you to join us for an unforgettable evening of connection, community and purpose at our 5th Annual Poker & Bingo Night on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Peterbilt Warehouse in Sparks.
This special night kicks off our annual Spring Into Action campaign and brings together friends, families and local supporters for an evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, great food, and a shared commitment to helping local kids thrive.
Why This Night Matters 💛
For many children in our community, participating in youth sports isn’t always guaranteed. Registration fees, uniforms, equipment and travel costs can create real barriers, often keeping kids on the sidelines.
Through our Spring Into Action campaign, the Nevada Kids Foundation works directly with schools and youth programs across Northern Nevada to help remove those barriers, ensuring every child has the opportunity to play, belong, and grow through sports.
Our goal for 2026 is to award more than $25,000 in youth sports grants, bringing the total impact of this campaign to over $80,000 invested in local youth programs in just under five years.Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured and raffle item donated helps make that possible.

Food For Kids, Inc, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) operating in Nevada since 1988. We help child and adult daycares receive reimbursement for serving healthy, balanced meals at daycare. We are hosting this golf tournament to fundraise to further support our sponsored daycare sites through programming and equipment to support their mission of serving healthy meals.

The golf tournament will include fun competitions such as furthest from the pin and longest drive, with the opportunity to win exciting prizes. There will also be a silent auction and raffle prizes available.

So come join us at the beautiful Washoe County Golf Course for a fun day of golf, prizes, and competition, and help support a great cause!
