The Nevada Conservation League invites the community to an evening gathering on May 13 at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno. This event will bring together neighbors, local partners, and environmental advocates to support NCL’s work protecting Nevada’s air, water, and public lands.
Guests will enjoy light bites, drinks, and great conversation, while also learning more about efforts across the state to advance a cleaner, healthier future for all Nevadans.
NCL extends sincere thanks to Fig Tree Catering for their generous sponsorship and contribution of food for the evening. The event will also feature local favorites from Nevada Sunset Winery and Great Basin Brewing Co.

If you are ready to add a family member to your home, you don’t have to travel far! Locally owned South Reno natural pet food & supply store, Natural Paws, is hosting their 16th annual “Mutts in May” adoption day Saturday, May 16th from 10am through 2pm. Natural Paws, located in the Raley’s Center at Galena Junction in South Reno, is doggedly committed to pet rescue.
Natural Paws will host several rescue groups including Boxers & Buddies, Nevada Humane Society, Pet Network Humane Society, High Sierra Rescue, Pawsibilities, Dog Town Rescue & CRCCS.
Twenty percent of dogs in shelters are purebred, so there will be large selection of lovable breeds & mutts! Whether your family would be a better fit for a quirky or mellow, active or lazy pet, you will be sure to find the right fit for your family. Some rescues will be bringing cute kitties along as well. Each adoptee will receive a free 5lb bag of kibble from Natural Paws, as well as a lifetime of pet food advice for their dog or cat.

Join us every Monday for Volunteer Tool Time at 635 E 4th St, where community members come together to help keep Reno rolling! From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, volunteers assist with stripping bikes, fixing kids and burning man bikes, and supporting our mission to make cycling more accessible for everyone.
On the first Monday of each month, we also host a special evening session from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, perfect for those who can’t make it during the day or want a little extra wrenching time.
Whether you’re an experienced mechanic or totally new to bike tools, you’re welcome here. We’ll guide you, teach you, and work alongside you as we support our community together.

CodePink Reno and The Radical Cat are extremely proud to be screening the Oscar nominated film The Voice of Hind Rajab - a powerful and devastating film that bears witness to the life and death of 5-year-old Hind Rajab, a Palestinian child killed in Gaza waiting to be rescued while trapped under IOF fire. Films like this are an essential act of remembrance and resistance. Join us as we gather to witness and reflect on her story and the genocide in Gaza. Enjoy BBQ, Drinks, and prizes for top players. The primary goal of this event is get more Males to step up as mentors and address a significant community challenge.

Currently, boys on our waitlist wait an average of three months longer than girls to be matched with a Big. This event is a call to action for men to lead the charge in eliminating that gap.

Food For Kids, Inc, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) operating in Nevada since 1988. We help child and adult daycares receive reimbursement for serving healthy, balanced meals at daycare. We are hosting this golf tournament to fundraise to further support our sponsored daycare sites through programming and equipment to support their mission of serving healthy meals.
The golf tournament will include fun competitions such as furthest from the pin and longest drive, with the opportunity to win exciting prizes. There will also be a silent auction and raffle prizes available.
So come join us at the beautiful Washoe County Golf Course for a fun day of golf, prizes, and competition, and help support a great cause!
