WCSD To Hold Budget Town Hall Meetings

The Washoe County School District will host six town hall meetings across the district in the next month to discuss the budget challenges the district faces. The meetings are an opportunity for community members to discuss with school officials how the district will handle a 40-million-dollar budget shortfall for the 2012-2013 school year. Town Hall Meeting Schedule: March 29 - North Valleys HS - 6:30 p.m. March 31 - Wooster HS - 10:30 a.m.March 31 - Sparks HS - 10:30 a.m. April 18 - Galena HS - 6:30 p.m. April 25 - Reno HS - 6:30 p.m. April 25 - Spanish Springs HS - 6:30 p.m. Each of the meetings will take place in the school cafeteria. Spanish interpretation will be provided at all townhall meetings.
